The house of representatives member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, honorable James Abiodun Faleke has give back to his constituents again has he empowered 1167 people as he collaborated with small and medium enterprise development (SMEDAN).
The empowerment took place on sunday at Vintage point in Acme, According to Director General of SMEDAN who was represented by Mr Olawale Fasanya the director of policy and planning said " the five days capacity building programme facilitated by honorable James Abiodun Faleke is a way to eradicate poverty and be self employed, the entrepreneur went through five days training in different fields to have more knowledge about how to put thier capital on business and many more.
" Meanwhile 1167 people who was trained by SMEDAN goes home with cash grant for the honorable to start their businesses and also a certificate to authenticate them as part of honorable Faleke empowerment programme.
While given the opening remarks, "Yinka fisher one of the All Progressive Congress leader in Ikeja local government welcomes everyone to the laudable occasion where all our participants tomorrow will be better than today, if they use the grant very well. He urged them to take the opportunity serious and utilize it well, we also need to thank our honorable house of representatives member for his kind gesture".
According to James Abiodun Faleke, " I started my empowerment programme from January till date, and thousands of people have benefited, he said the only way to be self employed is trained our people on entrepreneur on how to be self equiped.
" Some years back i can easily get federal work for my people in my constituents, but things are tight now there is no federal work for now, federal government don't have vacancy again, that is why I collaborated with SMEDAN to trained my people on how to be a successful businessmen and women".
" My admiration have empowed eight thousand people, seven thousand for self independent business training, 125 empowerment opportunities, 50 laptops for our students, 6500 solar poles and mega super empowerment is coming up by december. I have touched all areas, Faleke boasted.
Meanwhile Barrister Yomi Tijani former secretary of ojodu local government "said this as never happened before in Ikeja federal constituency, we are lucky to have Faleke, he is an asset to our community, Tijani advised the participants to use the money given to them wisely in other to encourage honorable to do more.
Similarly, "Alhaji Adeokun the chairman Ikeja local government, Commends SMEDAN for a good collaboration with James Abiodun Faleke to trained our people to be self independent and that's also the measure to eradicate unemployment in our society and we are greatful for his good deeds. May the good Lord continue to bless him, he added".
"1167 certificate will be given to those who went for the training and this as never happened before in the history of ikeja federal Constituents".
Soetan Julius, Joshua Nneji, Balogun Abike, Ikudeyin Olusesan who represented the beneficiaries for the goodwill messages lauded the kind gesture of honorable Faleke and prayed he will represent them again come next general election, Faleke laughed.
