I saw this on a Whatsapp platform and found it interesting:
In 2011, Hosni Mubarak appeared in Cairo Court on Stretcher from Hospital at trial for alleged Crimes Against Protesters. He was sentenced on that stretcher.
In 2015, Former Guatemalan dictator appeared before court on a stretcher. Undeterred by his claims of poor health, a judge in Guatemala City ordered Efrain Rios Montt to appear in court to answer charges levelled against him.
In 2016, Romanian Chief Tax Officer, Roman Nasirov was wheeled on stretcher from the hospital to appear before the court for alleged tax fraud & tax evasion.
You are free to google any of those names to find out more. When offenders cleverly look for how to pervert the course of justice, the court will have to be smarter for law to catch up with them.
How many of you remembered that Dino was invited by police for more than a month for questioning over his alleged gun running in Kogi State? Did Dino honor any of the invitations?
At a point, he was declared wanted by police, most national dailies carried the news. Rather than Dino go to honour the invitation, he was forming Don Jazzy following Saraki upandan.
He was modeling around like Arnold Schwarzenegger, actor never dies.
He was busy boasting & insulting the police on Twitter.
He was bragging on the floor of the senate & asking his partners in crime to use the hallow chamber to stop the police from inviting him
In fact, I saw many PDP wailers using him to mock the Nigerian Police as toothless bull dogs. I saw several pictures of him attending parties & some he was even in handshake with some police officers.
I read wailers post stuffs like” who is fooling who? “this is Dino in handshake with police”. Some attached pictures of him with post like “Here’s a man they said he was declared wanted by police, he is enjoying himself in a party” etc.
At that point, Police was giving him a long rope to pull himself out of stories that touch the soul, but he decided to rope himself in the process.
If you’re a lawmaker & you choose to become lawbreaker. The law you break is like a broken bottle. It is only a matter of time until the sharp edge of it comes back to hurt you.
Enough of this victim mentality by our politicians. Enough of blackmailing the real victims into sympathizing with them their crimes.
If you like, the next time you’re meant to appear in court, come with undertakers, you will still be tried for your crime. If you are innocent, you will walk home free, if you are not, you will go to jail.
The law you all abused yesterday will take it’s revenge on you tomorrow.
